What is Apple Chutney?
Apple chutney is a sweet and savory compote made with apples, onions, garlic, ginger, vinegar, sugar and spices. It is typically simmered until caramelized and served with meat dishes. Apple chutney is often used served with pork, served alongside curries or used in a dip.
Step By Step Instructions
Guys, you're not going to believe how easy this delicious apple chutney recipe is....it only takes 20-30 minutes MAX to make.
For the apples, chop them in ¼ to ½" pieces, depending on how chunky you'd like the chutney to be. Combine all the ingredients in a 2-3 quart saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Simmer, uncovered, for about 20-30 minutes, until chutney is caramelized and thickened. Store in a glass jar in the fridge, or an air tight container in the freezer.

It depends on the dish. For warm savory dishes like pork chops or ham, I would recommend serving it warm. For dips, sandwiches and cheese, I would recommend serving it cold.
