Teriyaki marinated lamb chops grilled over a searing hot flame and served tender and juicy - these Grilled Lamb Chops are super easy to make and are good enough to impress everyone at your BBQ!
Lamb is awesome. Period. End of sentence. It has such a wonderful flavor and can be so tender and juicy.
Grilling these lamb chops over high heat gives them a beautiful crust on the outside, and allows the fat to get nice and crispy, while the inside stays juicy and tender.
You could even cook this sous vide first in the marinade and then grill them (check out these sous vide lamb chops or this sous vide rack of lamb).
They are perfection. I've been making these lamb chops for years, and they are always a hit. The teriyaki marinade has an incredible flavor, and takes less than 5 minutes to throw together.
The lamb chops themselves take less than 10 minutes to cook. It's easy guys. There is no reason you shouldn't be making these.
Most grocery stores carry lamb of pretty good quality. I'm sure you can also get it at your local butcher.

Step By Step Instructions
Combine all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
Add the lamb chops and stir until well coated with the marinade. Refrigerate overnight.
Remove the lamb chops from the fridge about an hour before you grill to let them come to room temperature. They sear easier when they are closer to the temp of the grill. I remove them about an hour before grilling time.
About 15-20 minutes before grilling, add the baking soda to the marinade and mix well to combine. The baking soda helps to tenderize the meat.

Heat your grill to about 500 degrees. Place lamb chops on the grill and cook 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare. The internal temperature should be about 125 degrees for medium rare.

- The internal temperature of the lamb should be 125 to 130 degrees for medium rare.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can you eat lamb rare? Much like beef, lamb can be eaten rare. Rare lamb is typically cooked to an internal temperature of 120 degrees. I recommend cooking lamb to a medium rare for the best flavor, which is 125-130 degrees.
