Place all the ingredients in the Instant Pot (use a non-stick insert for the best results) and mix to combine.
Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
Natural release for 10 minutes, then use the quick release to release the remaining pressure.
Fluff with a fork and serve.
Notes
Be sure to rinse the rice first. This removes excess starch and debris and helps prevent the rice from getting gummy.
To keep the rice from sticking, I recommend using a non-stick insert for the Instant Pot. This also makes for easy clean up!
For extra flavor, you can substitute broth for the water. This crockpot chicken broth recipe is one of our go-to broth recipes.
For even more flavor, try adding some garlic, shallots or ginger to the rice.
Make sure to naturally release the pressure. The rice will keep cooking as the pressure naturally releases. If you quick release, the rice may not be as tender and fluffy.
While the rice pressure cooks on high in just 4 minutes, you’ll also need to factor in time for pressure to build and release in the Instant Pot.
