Vietnamese Chicken Wings (Fish Sauce Wings)

Vietnamese Chicken Wings are marinated in a delicious mixture fish sauce, coconut sugar, lemongrass and garlic, then roasted until sticky and caramelized. Easy to make and an absolute crowd pleaser!

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 whole limes



  • Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl. **Reserve about ¼ cup of the marinade on the side for basting.
  • Add the chicken wings and mix, ensuring each wing is coated with the marinade. Leave in fridge overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place chicken wings and on baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 35-45 minutes.
  • Turn them once at the halfway point, and baste with the reserved marinade.
  • Remove them from the oven and serve them drizzled with fresh lime juice. They can also be served with Nuoc Cham (Vietnamese Dipping Sauce).
