What To Make with Leftover Ham
Who doesn’t just love Thanksgiving and Christmas leftovers? But as much as we love them, it does get kind of old eating the same meal over and over again.
And ham is one of my favorite leftovers, especially after I make this whole Honey Baked Ham. It has such a wonderful salty, smoky flavor that is perfect for flavoring sides and soups, cooking up a delicious breakfast, or adding some meat to that casserole. It’s so versatile!
That said, I’ve compiled a list of some great ways to use leftover ham. You may also want to check out 20+ Ways To Use Leftover Turkey.

How to Freeze Ham
First, I highly recommend freezing leftover ham in individual servings. This way you can thaw and use only the portion you need instead of thawing a ton of ham to make a sandwich.
Make sure to take off the ham off the bone before freezing it (see above for using those ham bones).
You can freeze leftover ham in freezer bags or freezer safe container. Remove as much of the air as possible for the best results (i.e. reduce/eliminate potential freezer burn).
How Long Does Leftover Ham Last?
It will last for about 3-5 days in the fridge (in a covered container), or about 2-3 months in the freezer (see above for freezing instructions).
